Bob Mackie
This is my all time favorite designer. I fell madly in love with all things Bob Mackie when I saw my first Barbie done by him. That would be Madam Du from 1997. Granted she wasn't his first but she was the first one I saw! I have done my best to grab up everything I can of his girls every since then! :-) This is what I have been able to add to my collection.

Moon
Goddess® Barbie® wears a shimmering midnight blue sheath
covered with sequins. A fanciful "moonbeam" drapes over her shoulder and falls
into an elegant floor length cape, accented with stars. Her hair is swept up
beneath a deep blue hat and dangling crescent earrings complete the fantasy.

Green
has never looked so good. Meet Emerald Embers™ Barbie® doll from the
Jewel Essence Collection™ by Bob Mackie. Every doll in the collection
sparkles in the color of a jewel and is adorned with beautiful Swarovski®
crystals. Here, Barbie, embraced in deep emerald green, glows like a jewel of
the Amazon. Her eyes seem to smolder like the crystal rhinestones on her dress.
Poised and regal, she is a tribute to the jewel of kings.

Madame du Barbie® doll
captures the majesty and opulent elegance of the eighteenth century royal court
of France. Her gown is a breathtaking confection of ice blue brocade with bead
and jewel-embellished rococo embroidery. The coiffure and headpiece are
appropriate for the most elegant of royal occasions.

The
International Beauty Collection is designed to celebrate worldwide beauty in the
dramatic fantasy style of Bob Mackie. Barbie® as the Fantasy
Goddess of Asia® is inspired by the bold colors and icons of the
orient in a striking gown of chartreuse and green. Delicate sheer illusion
netting and dazzling beading accent her bodice, and a dramatic fan decorated
with a dragon spreads behind her as a brilliant frame to the total creation.
1999
In
celebration of Barbie® doll's 40th anniversary, designer Bob
Mackie pulled out all the stops to create Le Papillon™ Barbie® --
his fantasy image of the shimmering wonder of a butterfly. Barbie® is
draped in a dramatic, full-length, strapless, fitted gown of velvety black with
circular train and black stockings. Her slim silhouette is adorned with pink and
silvery embroidery, and two shimmering rose-colored rhinestones. Large black
butterfly wings with silvery and rose-tinted embroidery, speckled with matching
rhinestones coordinate with her dress. A fabulous headpiece befitting the bold
beauty of a butterfly showcases her radiant pink hair and lavender eyes.

Bob
Mackie brings his signature sensational flair to Sterling Silver Rose™ Barbie®
doll. Wearing a glamorous deep purple panne gown accented with a single silver
and lavender fabric rose and a lovely lavender bustle, Barbie® is a
true vision of distinctive beauty. Her platinum hair is highlighted with
lavender hues and styled into an intricate updo. Dramatic face paint and long
lavender gloves provide the sparkling finishing touches.

Brunette
Brilliance™ Barbie® is the second doll in The Red Carpet™ Collection

dangle perfectly to accent her short black hair against her ultra pale skin tone
color.
