Birds of Beauty

I think that I have this fascination with feathers and wings. :-) I tend to lean toward all Barbie with wings of some sort. The Birds of Beauty are especially exotic with the feathers of their name sake that adorn their gowns. I have also taken these girls out of their boxes and just have to say WOW!

The Peacock™ Barbie^® doll is dressed in a striking sheath gown with a deep blue velvety skirt and an electric blue satin strapless bustier. The bodice is accented with green lining and is highlighted by a blue, green, and golden ornament. Her sheath has a striking overskirt of electric blue satin lined with green organza. A dramatic plumage of golden net and peacock feathers fans out behind Barbie^® and is secured at the hip by a draped satin bow.

Second doll in the fanciful Birds of Beauty™ Collection, The Flamingo Barbie^® doll pays tribute to the tropical bird of the same name. Her flamingo-pink colored gown is accented with pink, black and white feathers and a flowing layered skirt of flamingo pink, light pink and white. A black headdress topped with feathers and rhinestones, a black choker and opera gloves add the finishing touches to her tropical look.
