Grandma Lily's Dolls
Over the few years that I knew Grandma Lily I had the pleasure of hearing a lot of very interesting stories and spending quality time with a wonderful woman. I looked up to her as a woman who, with everything she has been through in her life, was still strong in her beliefs and her way of life.
I remember one time talking with her for about an hour about her dolls, paintings, needle work, and many other things. I started worrying that Scott (who was in the other room) would not get this quality time that I was getting so I said to her "I am going to go check on the guys" and she said to me "Don't worry about the guys, let them do their Man things and we will do our Woman things". I loved her for the simple way she looked at life!
Here are a few of the dolls that she made from her hands and blessed my home with.

This one was given to my daughter
Cassandra by her Great Grandma Lily when we were visiting her on her 90th
Birthday. We both fell in love with the large smile this doll has!
This
is the one she gave to me on that 90th Birthday of hers. Amazing isn't it that
we were there to celebrate her and she was giving us gifts! I love the beautiful
auburn hair on this girl. I had to give her a teddy bear! :-)
This
one Grandma brought to Cassandra on one of her trips here. She called her a
Googly Eye Doll! :-) Isn't she adorable!
This
one I just brought home from Grandma's house. We were in California to lay her
to rest.
Thank you family for letting me have a piece of her to bring home with me.
She has the most adorable loopy
curls in the back.

This is Scott's doll that he has had for many years. The prettiest baby doll I have seen!
