As I said on the front page
Portrait in Taffeta was my first collectors doll. You can see why she drew me in
so quickly. And of course when they came out with the other 2 I had to have them
because they each have a beauty about them that I just can't describe. I took
both of the first one out of their boxes right away and lost the shoes that go
with them. I am sure that has something to do with my reluctance to remove any
of my other girls from boxes. I am working on that fear though! Baby steps! :-)

I got this girl signed by Robert Best at the 2007 Barbie Convention! I was so
excited to meet him and have him sign my best girl!
Meet
Portrait in Taffeta® Barbie® doll, the first-ever design

lined with shimmering golden lamé. From her shoulders extends a cowl of soft
silk velvet, perfectly complemented by a three tiered train. Golden embroidery
and sparkling sequins provide exquisite detail as they swirl together elegantly
at the foot of her gown. With her long blonde hair swept up in curls she is high
fashion and high glamour defined. This exquisite Collector Edition doll comes
complete with a copy of the signed fashion sketch that inspired her, a

Dressed
for a grand occasion, Serenade in Satin™ Barbie® looks absolutely
exquisite in an elegant evening ensemble made of rich satin with a soft, subtle
lustre. Her slim, strapless gown has a pleated bustier on top, and long,
lean-fitting skirt below. Intricate ribbon rosettes, floral embroidery and
golden beads swirl softly on the front of her skirt. Her elaborate pale blue
coat, with wide portrait collar and deep cuffs, flares dramatically into a
sweeping train, fully lined in pale yellow taffeta. From her beautiful blonde
hair to her fashionable spike heels she is the essence of Barbie®
doll glamour.

last addition to the breathtaking Barbie® Couture Collection designed
by Robert Best, Symphony in Chiffon™ Barbie® doll is radiant in this
rich combination of brilliant color and lavish fabrics. Her haute couture
ensemble is captivating with a flowing cape of iridescent, deep orange chiffon
with golden trim, the perfect complement to her shimmering marigold satin skirt.
Barbie® doll's splendor is further enhanced by her fuchsia, silk
shantung jacket, accented with sparkling crystals and golden embroidery
stitches. Beautifully designed down to the last detail, even her golden pumps
are decorated with crystals.
